Title: Outdoor Learning in the Autumn
We have nearly finished our 6 weeks of outdoor learning - field school - with Y3. Charlotte's Web has been our inspiration this term. We have been on spider safaris, tried different kinds of weaving and focussed on what makes a good friend.
My favourites have been tie dying with blackberries from the field and viking knitting - highly addictive! The children have embraced these sessions even when they are out of their comfort zone. Being scared of spiders didn't stop their explorations. Trying new skills has been tricky but they have persisted and kept going.
I think their favourite part of the sessions has to be the wolf howl to signal our return back to base... I have to confess that it's my favourite thing too.
