BADGERS FOREST SCHOOL BRISTOL
Badgers Forest School Bristol provides inspiring woodland adventures and magical learning experiences to children, young people and families of Bristol and surrounding areas.
WHAT WE DO
Little Badgers Carer and Toddler Group - Explore the forest and enjoy woodland activities with your 1-4 year old.
School Groups - Ask your child's school to get in touch with us if you'd like den building, fire lighting and nature trails to be a part of your child's education.
WHERE WE ARE We currently run Forest School sessions at Wraxall Piece on Beggar Bush Lane and Badock's Wood, Henleaze.
Wraxall Piece is a wonderful dedicated Forest School site owned by the Forestry Commission, our learning partner. Wraxall Piece is teaming with incredible wildlife and plants like the protected English bluebells, badgers, deer, great spotted woodpeckers, buzzards, many wildflowers and much more! It's more likely you'll meet the snails, slugs, worms, centipedes and millipedes whilst at Forest School. Wraxall Piece also offers more privacy from dog walkers and the general public which allows children to play more freely.
Badock's Wood is in the heart of Bristol. It is ancient woodland hidden between Henleaze, Southmead and Westbury-on Trym. It is a Local Nature Reserve and full of amazing wildlife. We have access to streams, bridges, stepping stones and meadow. There are hidden treasures all over the wood including a beautiful carving of the Green Man. In springtime is full of wild garlic and English bluebells. It is accessible for wheelchair users and can be reached by public transport.
