We have been working with Bishop Rd Primary School for the last 3 weeks. Y1 & Y3 have been enjoying outdoor sessions on their school field inspired by Roald Dahl's story of The Minpins. 120 children have finished their sessions and the next 120 start on Tues.
I have been reflecting on the story so far...

We started an outdoor story project at Bishop Rd Primary School today. We are working with Yr 1 & Yr 3 - that's 240 children in total! Our sessions are inspired by The Minpins by Roald Dahl. They are tiny people who live in the trees and travel around by bird.

Badgers Forest School Bristol provides inspiring woodland adventures and magical learning experiences to children, young people and families of Bristol and surrounding areas.

Little Badgers Carer and Toddler Group - Explore the forest and enjoy woodland activities with your 1-4 year old.

School Groups - Ask your child's school to get in touch with us if you'd like den building, fire lighting and nature trails to be a part of your child's education.

WHERE WE ARE We currently run Forest School sessions at Wraxall Piece on Beggar Bush Lane and Badock's Wood, Henleaze.

Wraxall Piece is a wonderful dedicated Forest School site owned by the Forestry Commission who kindly organise permits for groups like us for educational purposes. Wraxall Piece is teaming with incredible wildlife and plants like the protected English bluebells, badgers, deer, great spotted woodpeckers, buzzards, many wildflowers and much more! It's more likely you'll meet the snails, slugs, worms, centipedes and millipedes whilst at Forest School but you will likely see our Great Spotted Woodpeckers feeding their young in the spring! Wraxall Piece also offers more privacy from dog walkers and the general public which allows children to play more freely.
Badock's Wood is in the heart of Bristol. It is ancient woodland hidden between Henleaze, Southmead and Westbury-on Trym. We have access to streams, bridges, stepping stones and meadow. There is also an active badgers sett as well a lots of other wonderful wildlife. It is accessible for wheelchair users and can be reached by public transport.
